MATILDA BOOKSHOP REVIEW

In this epic tale, Emmett has just been released from juvenile detention and returns to his recently deceased Father's farm to reunite with his 8 year old brother Billy, and his powder blue Studebaker. Here begins their long journey across the Lincoln Highway from one side of the U.S to the other. With a nod to the epic tales of The Odyssey and The Count of Monte Cristo, I was enthralled from start to finish and found myself immersed in the people, places, twists and turns of their journey. This is a great read for fans of the classic American writers, Irving and Steinbeck. Simon
