Henry wishes he could have a dog-maybe a little rough-and-tumble dog with feathery ears and eyes as black as licorice. But Henry's mother says a dog would be too lonely on it's own all day while she's at work and Henry is at school. However, with the help of an unusual gift, Henry learns that sometimes wishes do come true.
