Julia Donaldson, the 2011-2013 Children's Laureate, is one of the UK's best-loved children's authors. Julia also writes children's plays and songs, and her brilliant events at schools, libraries and literary festivals are always in demand. Lydia Monks is one of the UK's most original picture book artists, whose brilliantly coloured collage images have earned her a strong following and critical acclaim, as well as the Smarties Bronze Award. Lydia studied Illustration at Kingston University and now lives in Sheffield with her husband and two young children.
