There are those who can cook and then there are those for whom boiling water is bit of a challenge. These are the people that top chefs John Burton Race and Angela Hartnett are going to try and teach to cook like Michelin star chefs in their new BBC2 series "Kitchen Criminals". Unlike any other television cookery show, this is about people who can't cook and viewers will watch how these culinary no-hopers are transformed into chefs good enough to pull the wool over the eyes of five of Britain's toughest critics.

John Burton Race is a Michelin-starred chef and highly successful restaurateur with a larger-than-life personality and a lifelong passion for great food. Following a televised year rediscovering food in rural France, John became the owner of the New Angel restaurant in Dartmouth, Devon. In 2006, John took part in BBC 2's Great British Menu series. In 2007 he co-starred in BBC2's Kitchen Criminal series and was co-author of the accompanying book First Crack Your Egg.
